All of our providers hold a degree in child development, family studies, education, social work, psychology, or related field. Our providers also currently hold an Infant-Toddler Family Specialist Certification, which is maintained by completing ongoing continuing education.
Elizabeth Spires, MSW, LCSWA, ITFS
Owner/CBRS Provider
Elizabeth holds a Master of Clinical Social Work degree from Boston University and Bachelor of Science degree from East Carolina University in Family and Community Services, with a concentration in Early Intervention and Health Sciences. Elizabeth has a variety of experience including 14+ years working with infants and toddlers and their families, allowing her to work with children with a wide range of special needs including Autism, Cerebral palsy, Down Syndrome, Fragile X, Pfeiffer syndrome, motor and speech delays, vision and hearing impairments, and Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder to name a few. After working as a Service Coordinator at the Children's Developmental Services Agency (CDSA) for 7 years, Elizabeth started 123 Go Kidz in 2013 so she could provide more direct, hands-on services for children and families. In addition, Elizabeth has experience completing comprehensive clinical assessments, telemedicine services, individual and group psychotherapy, and crisis services for very young children to older adults, with a variety of mental health issues. Elizabeth is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate (LCSWA), Infant Toddler and Family Specialist (ITFS), member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW), member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine (ASRM), and member of the Professional Association for Rehabilitation Counselors (PARC).
Kindra Hamilton, BA, ITFS

Kindra earned her B.A. in Therapeutic Recreation from UNCW in 2001. During college, she provided ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy, as well as individualized care, for a child with autism. Kindra has experience working with both children and adults with a wide range of disabilities. Her roles have included Coordinator for Psycho Social Rehabilitation, Recreation Director, and Case Management. Kindra first began working with the infant toddler population in 2005, as a CBRS provider for a private provider. She then became a Service Coordinator for the Infant Toddler Program (CDSA) in 2006. She left in 2010, to begin her family. She returned to the workforce in November 2013 to provide CBRS for 123 Go Kidz. Kindra provides services in Carteret and Craven counties.
Wendy Gollihue, BS, ITFS

Wendy obtained a BS degree from ECU in Family Practice for Exceptional Children. Her practicum was at a residential children's institution which led her to being a counselor in the mental health arena for a total of 9 years in a hospital setting. She has been a supervisor in a government daycare center while setting higher standards for its National Accreditation. Prior to coming to 123 Go Kidz, Wendy volunteered for 3 years with her local clinic for the working poor. She has been with 123 Go Kidz since March 2015. With Wendy, you'll experience a sharing of many and regularly new DIY activities that are easy for the family to copy. She also models the use of toys in your home in ways that can be used to continue teaching when she leaves. Wendy will provide handouts as well as time for discussion to aid you in your journey with encouraging growth through challenges. Wendy has been said to be very energetic. She balances that well with patience for what your child directs us to do in a learning way.
Monica Romyn, BS, ITFS

Monica holds a Bachelor of Science degree in birth through kindergarten education and more than 17 years in working with children with autism. Since graduating from ECU Monica as worked with children with a vast variety of special needs, from children who are medically fragile to child who have communication concerns. During a CBRS session Monica will work with you and your child and teach you the best way to promote your child’s development. Monica worked for the CDSA for a number of years and served as both a supervisor and a Service Coordinator. Her greatest passion is working with children and helping them develop into their best self. When Monica isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her puppy Johnny Cash, spending time on the water, and baking.
Cindy, Mobley, MSW, LCSWA, ITFS

Cindy received her Masters of Social Work from University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018. She is an Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker. Cindy received her undergraduate degree in Psychology from Campbell University, Go Camels! Prior to joining 123 Go Kidz, Cindy completed her graduate internship at Jones County Social Services as an intake and assessment social worker. Cindy’s post-graduate work has focused on serving the mental health and developmental needs of school age children and their families with services provided in the home and at school. Prior to attending college, Cindy worked for several Department of Social Services agencies providing program assistance benefits to those in need. Cindy has a passion for working with people to connect them with the services and programs they need to help them lead a healthy and happy life. When Cindy is not working, she enjoys organic gardening, reading, cooking, baking and spending time with family and friends.
Alison Chandler, MSW, LCSWA, LCASA, ITFS

Alison Chandler received her Masters of Social Work from University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018. She is an Associate Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Associate Licensed Clinical Substance Abuse Counselor, and a Certified Infant, Toddler and Family Specialist. Prior to joining 123 Go Kidz, she completed her graduate internships working with adolescent females in the Psychiatric Residential Treatment setting; providing individual, family, and group therapy services to acute inpatient populations; and military members through the inpatient substance abuse program at Brynn Marr Hospital. Alison’s post-graduate work has focused on serving the mental health and developmental needs of school age children and their families; with services provided in the home and at school. Having grown up in a military family, she has personal and professional knowledge of the unique stressors placed on military families, particularly spouses and children. She works with all ages and needs, including depression, anxiety, behavioral and relationship issues. Alison also received a graduate certificate in Substance Abuse Studies. When she is not working, Alison enjoys horseback riding and spending time with her family and pets.
Gail Cole, BS, ITFS

Gail has been providing CBRS/Special Instruction Services for 123 Go Kidz since October 2015. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education from East Carolina University. Over the years, Gail has served children birth through 10 years old with a wide variety of needs, including: Autism, Communication delays, Fine and Gross motor delays, Behavior difficulties, Attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), Oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), dyslexia, and other special needs. Prior to working for 123 Go Kidz, Gail was a teacher for 24 years at W.J. Gurganus Elementary in Havelock, NC. During that time, she taught first grade for 15 years and was a Reading Interventionist for nine years, working with students in grades K-5. Additionally, Gail has volunteered in schools for several years and has worked with a variety of age groups in church. She retired from teaching in 2015, and since then, has been enjoying working with children and their families in the capacity of CBRS Provider.
Sandra Schultz, BS, ITFS

Sandra Graduated from the University of Mount Olive here in NC with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. She is currently in a master’s program for general psychology with a concentration in applied behavior analysis and is planning on becoming a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. For the last 7 years, Sandra has worked as a registered behavior technician (RBT) and has provided in home therapy to children and adolescents diagnosed on the autism spectrum. Being an RBT has allowed Sandra to work with a variety of other disorders, such as Down syndrome, ADHD, hypotonia, apraxia, and sensory processing disorder and used modeling, prompting, positive reinforcement, natural environment teaching, behavioral reduction therapy, and parent training to teach a variety of skills to her clients. Sandra has also worked in a 3-4-year-old day care class with a structured environment conducive to learning, has been a therapeutic foster parent, and has been a certified nursing assistant working in geriatric hospitals, Alzheimer’s units, and in hospice care. Sandra is very energetic, compassionate, and loves to encourage others in positive helpful ways. As an employee for 123 Go Kidz she uses her varied experiences coupled with handouts and interactive fun activities to help families reach the developmental goals set for their children.
Jane Heuring, BS, ITFS

Jane holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education with training in Applied Behavior Therapy. She has worked in state government, private and not-for-profit agencies in Florida, Illinois, and Indiana. Jane has been an advocate for children in many capacities. She was instrumental in the development of the Illinois newborn hearing screening program. Jane provided training to nurses on hearing screening instruments, managed data bases and provided resources to ensure children received audiology services.
When Jane’s family transferred to Florida, she continued her work for children working for The Early Learning Coalition of Southwest Florida. She provided teacher training, evaluated learning environments, curriculums and teaching materials, lesson plans and performed inspections to ensure healthy, safe and developmentally appropriate environments in preschools and childcare centers. She has received several awards for developing and raising quality early learning environments in preschool and childcare facilities in the State of Florida.
She has years of teaching experience in both the elementary and early childhood classrooms teaching children from many backgrounds with various abilities. Most recently, she has been working with children in the foster care system ensuring these children have access to academic and medical resources to ensure healthy academic success.
Jane, recently relocated to Morehead City to be near her grandchildren. She continues to be an advocate working with and for children. She believes the best approach to early care and education is to provide hands-on materials in a playful, calm and welcoming environment. Jane uses nature, open-ended play, reading, art and music to help build important developmental skills.
Elizabeth Acker M.Ed, ITFS

Elizabeth holds a Master of Education degree from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a concentration in Early Childhood, Leadership, Policy and Advocacy, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Elementary Education with a concentration in Reading. Elizabeth has 15+ years working with children of all different backgrounds and abilities including teaching in daycare classrooms for children ages birth through 12, teaching preschool for children ages 3 to 5, teaching children in the North Carolina State NC Pre-K program, and working with preschool and school aged children with Autism, ADHD and developmental delays. In addition, Elizabeth has experience working with families of crisis and trauma, providing families with service need referrals, educational resources and activities for caregivers and children to promote interaction and togetherness, and assisting families with their own individual needs. Elizabeth is licensed in Elementary Education K-6, Reading K-12, and Preschool Education. Previously, Elizabeth assisted in developing and volunteering for the Crystal Coast Association for the Education of Young Children (CCaeyc), in which she was Vice President. Elizabeth brings to 123 Go Kidz a strong belief in making a difference in children’s lives. Elizabeth created and lives by the adage “Making a difference for all children all the time from all walks of life.” Elizabeth loves to use hands-on visual learning activities to work with children based on their own individual needs and goals and believes that hands-on learning can be found right at home in children’s everyday environment.
Lindsey Mitchell, BS, ITFS

Lindsey graduated from the University of Maine Orono, with a Bachelor’s degree in Child Development and Family Relations. During college, she did her student teaching at the Katherine Miles Durst Child Development Learning Center working with three and four-year olds. After school, Lindsey moved to North Carolina to further her career in child development. She served as a lead teacher working with children from ages six weeks to five years. She has experience working with children with a wide range of disabilities including autism, ADHD, Angelman Syndrome, Down syndrome, speech/language delays, motor delays, and behavior difficulties. For nearly two years, she was the director of a childcare, overseeing and training multiple staff members on how to care for all children including those with disabilities. Lindsey has been a CBRS Provider for 123 Go Kidz since November 2016.
